Vtg 30s/40s Yolande Handmade Bias Cut Silk Satin Nightgown size 40 ~ Exsquisite

Description

This Yolande handmade bias cut nightgown is not only beautifully made, it is in exceptional condition.
In soft peach silk* satin and ecru lace. The gown features an empire waist, hand smocking, hemstitching, keyhole back, waist ties, and finished with French seaming. The fabric has a lovely sheen and drape.
Size 40- Measurements were taken flat; please double where appropriate.
Bust, underarm to underarm: 20"Natural waist: 17"
Hips: approx 20"
Length, from top of shoulder: 59"
Again, the condition is exceptional; particularly given the age. There are no weak or split seams, thinning areas, rips, holes, tears, stains or odors.
There is a pin-hole under the left-arm opening, and a couple of missing stitches where the belt is attached on the left side.
There are a few very faint smudges and freckles, nothing glaring or obvious. The two that are noticeable are shown in the collage.
*I'm 99.9% certain that the fabric is silk, but there is a very slight chance that it could be rayon.
