    Vintage Javanese Wooden Wayang Golek Rod Puppet - "Rama Sita"
    connected to the hands and a central control rod that runs through the body to the head.
    Wayang golek are three-dimensional, painted wooden doll puppets that are operated from below by rods
    with batik headcloths or cloth hats over their heads or real hair, and were dressed in natural-dyed
    batik cloth sarung and
    wearing an indigo batik sarong and beaded top with tassel earrings.

    The earliest puppets were made of wood and had simple painted on faces, finished in natural colours,
