    Description

    This is a rare little gem. It is a vintage 1960s tea-length (midi), Charmode Slip, sold by Sears & Roebuck. It is white nylon, fitted through the breast and torso with an 18.5” (47cm)-long, full circle flare skirt extender of precious chiffon and lace accordion crystal pleats. Slip breast has matching chiffon accordion pleating and lace. So sweet. Ribbon straps are just over 1/2” (1.5 cm)-wide and have metal buckle for size adjustment. Tag says size 38 Tall (please see measurements). The drop waste with long crystal pleating is a rare find.
    Condition:Slip is in good vintage condition. Straps need to be reinforced in back and there is a puckered (?) area about the size of a silver dollar on the torso, below the left breast. Minor discoloration under pits (may be removable by vintage fabric cleaner, I have not tried). Small hole on inside lining of right breast and two pin holes in ruffle. Tiny pull on chiffon near right pit. Buckles tend to pull vertical from weight of slip. Doesn’t affect the lay of garment or your ability to adjust them. Please see photos. Issues are not noticeable when wearing or displaying but are there.
