INDONESIAN TRIBAL PENDANT
From Bali, Indonesia
Size: 1 5/8" H + 1 1/2" W x 1/4" D
Purchased at Yosim Gallery in Ubud, Bali. Antique silver.
It is aged

in original vintage condition.
This is old and was used and worn as part of a tribal ceremony. Could have been a nose ring or earring as much of their jewelry is substantial. This is a very traditional design in Indonesia. This piece can be cleaned up but I have left it with its original patina.
It was hand made. It is vintage tribal jewelry and you could put a chain on it and wear it as a pendant. This is for one pendant though I have two up for auction.
This is a historical tribal design work of original art. It is rustic, solid and crafted by hand. This is an antique and was purchased in Bali, Indonesia at Yosim Gallery, a gallery specializing in tribal art, artifacts and textiles primarily from Timor, Indonesia. The family who runs the gallery lives in West Timor so this was part of their collection.
I lived in Indonesia for the past six years and worked with several artisans to produce both jewelry and textiles using the highest grade of materials and craftsmanship. This was not newly made but purchased as a collector antique.
