Performance is not a product of
power alone. As Tony Regulsky of
    Tony's Customs in North Hollywood
can tell you, it is a product of power
to weight ratio. The less weight you
have for each pony of power, the
    faster you go.
That's why he built his Triumph to
go just over 200 pounds soaking wet,
and gave the mill some extra muscle.
He started with a Viking Engineering
frame that tips the scales at 18
pounds. To this he added EE Plating
springer, six inches over stock length,
and a front wheel and disk brake
    assembly from Swinger Custom Cycle
Parts in Walnut, California, a unit
    which gives exceptional braking
    power, especially for its size.
The Triumph engine was made up
    of 1 972 cases and 1 968 innards, all
    lightened where possible. Tony drilled
and balanced the cam gears, installed
Webco TT cams which he balanced,
and 10 to 1 pistons. Valves are from
    a Mercedes-Benz, machined and re-
    finished. The entire engine was
    shaved and lightened wherever possi-
    ble.
