    Description

Original visitors' brochure for Fort McHenry in Maryland.  Fort McHenry is where Francis Scott Key wrote
    The Star Spangled Banner
while a battle with British troops raged nearby.  It is now a "National Monument and Historic Shrine," according to the brochure.  This brochure has information about Key's writing the National Anthem, a map of the area, historical information about the site to place it in context, and more.  This brochure was obtained during a 1976 visit to Fort McHenry.  When folded, this eight-panel brochure is about 3.25" X 5.75"; when fully opened, the brochure is about 11.25 " X 12.75".  There's some rubber cement/glue residue on the back panel from when this brochure was displayed in a scrapbook.  Other than the glue remnants, this brochure is in excellent condition overall, with no rips, tears, or writing anywhere.  Thanks for looking!
